We have an acrobatic neighborhood squirrel that has taken quite a liking to our bird feeders. I'm a sucker for cute, furry creatures, so I don't complain too much when he/she stops by for a treat. Or a meal. Steve, on the other hand, has suggested we try Squirrel Soup.
Apparently squirrels are quite adept at hanging from tree branches with their back legs in order to get to the bird feeder...
Our ferocious hunters - aptly named Gidget, Guinness, & Brewer - believe their mission in life is to get that damn squirrel. I'm reminded of this scene from one of the best movies ever created....
Funny squirrel, but the scene in the movie is cute too. We (meaning Jake and me) had our morning walk today, and he cannot believe his luck, all the pheasants that are out...and unlike the turkeys, they do get away.
ReplyDeleteFind a way to place roasted peanuts up on one of the tree branches and your furry friend may ignore the bird food. It works for us in Montana. Papa
